Make sure your home is at its best during each showing

Turn on all of the lights in your home
Open all curtains and blinds
Bake cookies or cinnamon rolls just prior to the appointment time (refrigerated goods work well for this purpose).
Make sure your home is sparkling clean and clutter-free
Remove toothpaste, tooth brushes, toiletries, shampoo, etc. from sight (put them away in the cupboard during all showings)
Make sure towels in bathrooms are clean and fluffy
Avoid spraying excessive perfume or fragrances, as many buyers are turned off by strong smells
Remove pets from the home during the showing, if possible
Remove all valuables including jewelry, keys, electronics and controlled meds from your home
Avoid running the washing machine or dishwasher during the showing
